This is a letter Francis Pomeroy Hungerford (IR298) sent to his son Leonard Hungerford (IR299) in 1945. A wonderful letter from a father to his young son giving him some advice and encouragement on his "great adventure." Well-written and thoughtful. It was as if the author knew the two of them would probably not see each other again in this life and he wanted to say everything that needed to be said in this final communication. Frank, in fact, died two years after writing this letter. It gives us some insight on both men.
