Orville Hungerford (SH90)'s quick legal action saved his bank from major debtors trying to pay foreign interests by removing their funds from the United States. Prime, Ward & Co. used funds to speculate in the flour market and were facing bankruptcy. Page 395 of this book describes the history of this legal battle that ended with Orville successfully stopping them.
