A lifelong bachelor, T. Russell Hungerford (MD41) had several lady friends throughout his life chasing him with varying degrees of earnestness. There are several notes in the collection from Dora--whose last name never does get mentioned--that flirt with him in a cutesy manner. This communication starts out that way but ends with a blunt message. He obviously did not tell her what she wanted to hear, but she soldier's on for another four years at least, as her last letter using the thematic monikers "Dumbunny" & "Wabbitt" in this collection is dated July 6th, 1929.
