This is a one page, single spaced, typewritten letter dated 20 May 1975 from Mrs. Claude Emerson Hungerford (Mary Maude (Hughes) Hungerford) to Stanley W. Hungerford.
She provides the dates of birth, marriage and death of her husband, Claude Emerson Hungerford and refers Stanley to her sister-in-law Mrs. Otis Hungerford. She mentions a B. F. Hungerford who had passed away a few months previously as well as a Hungerford Insurance Company in Claremont, California, father Clark and son Frank.
She states that Claude was a building supervisor for a boy's school for boys from broken homes. She says that Steve McQueen was one of the boys residing at the school at one time.
