This is a letter dated 18 Mar 1895 from H. V. F. Hungerford (UNEN185) to H. A. Overton, Esq. on Turf Club, Piccadilly paper. It reads: Dear Sir: I beg to acknowledge receipt of your Cheque for 242-12-8 the proportion due to me on 20 Shares in Union Canal Co. for which I am much obliged--I have been abroad ever since the 2nd week in Nov 94 or I would have acknowledged your Cheque sooner.
