Lawrence Washington writes a letter to his relative Henry and mentions another relative, Gerrard Hungerford, in the last sentence of the letter. He states "Have you written to Mary & George? Tayloe has invited all the neighborhood to dine here to day, in compliment to Gerrard Hungerford." Washington, Tayloe and Hungerford are members of the Maryland branch of the family but I have yet to place Gerrard within the family groupings.
