Adalaide (SH186wife) opens the letter to her daughter Lianna (SH186a) "Dear Girl." She tells her that they are well, her sister got her first 12 books and they lost a fat sheep. She also complains they need rain. The second page is interesting because it appears it is written over an earlier letter dated February 26, 1882 or 3. There is also a portion of the letter written upside down at the top of page two because Mom wasn't done writing and wasn't going to use another piece of paper just for another sentence or two!
