This document is a remarkable four page (both sides of two sheets) hand written letter dated 6 Apr 1976 that Perry Frederick Nichols (US4950) wrote to Stanley W. Hungerford (SH1310). The letter is accompanied by two hand written pages (both sides of one sheet) of family information beginning with the Elias B. Hungerford (SH566) family and also accompanied by two hand written pages of Hungerford names and addresses to whom Stan could write, and further accompanied by pages 81 - 87 of a type written manuscript. That page 81 of the manuscript speaks about the marriage of Daniel Comstock Hungerford (SH865) and Nellie Mersereau which "joined two old American families." The author then provides some background to the Mersereau genealogy through to page 87, starting off by saying that there "appears to be two spellings: Mersereau and Mercereau" and there are "some reference to Mashereaus, which also appear to represent the same family."
