This is a letter from A. G. Butler to Thomas B. Strong with Strong's message to John Stanhope Arkwright on the back.  The transcription:

My dear Strong,

If Arkwright would care for a very sympathetic criticism of his poem, I would ask you to do the introducing process, and ask him if it would suit him to come to me here between 12 and 1 tomorrow--or at any lateish time in the afternoon that he would name.

There were certain points in S. I could convey to him over views of one or two parts of the poem, ___ was very thoroughly discussed by the Electors.

Ever Yours

A. G. Butler

May 21 '95

On the back is Strong's forwarding message to John that reads:

Dear Arkwright

Please read this note.   Butler was an elector.  Would you care to talk to him?

Yours ever

Thomas B. Strong
